We made our way to an International Property Exhibition a few years ago in London. After a good look around, we found a detached Villa just perfect for us near the beach in Tropea, Calabria. It was exactly what we had been looking for all those years, we decided there and then to reserve the Villa, being careful to ensure our dream home wouldn’t be sold before we had a chance to inspect it more closely.
After a successful viewing trip we were certain we had indeed found our dream property and the area was simply breathtakingly beautiful, needless to say, before we left we put down the first installment on the Villa. After that point, Apple Consulting with offices in Pizzo, took over. They immediately reassured us, as their whole business is actually geared towards aftersales services alone. They answered all our many questions, really made life a lot less stressful for us. I would highly recommend anyone who has bought in the region to Apple Consulting for your aftersales needs, they will look after every last detail for you and the cost is really very reasonable. I would even recommend them as someone to get some sound advice from prior to purchasing in Calabria, they have a lot of local knowledge, are based locally and the Manager is a lovely local lady who has perfect English and a very pleasant manner.

In 2016, I made a phone call to Apple Consulting after viewing their site on-line. A friend of mine had heard about their services for international clients and sent me a link to their website. My wife and I had purchased a couple of beachfront Apartments in Pizzo that summer and badly needed someone to handle the property management side of things for us. We both live and work in Ireland and really we would only get the opportunity to spend a few weeks in Calabria each year.
We had finance arranged initially in Calabria, through the Bank which allowed us to make the purchase in the first place. As a result we really needed to see some rental income from our Apartments in Pizzo, but we didn’t know where or how to begin with the Rental process in Southern Italy.
After getting Apple Consulting on board, our Property is now managed year round and kept well maintained for us. They market our Property for rent with great success, qualify the Tenants, handle the whole process, do the cleaning, everything.
They also arrange that the deposit and rents are paid directly to my Bank Account. Apple Consulting take a very reasonable fee off me for it, and to be honest, I would of quiet happily paid much more for such good service and reassurance. If I were to take on the whole thing myself I would have spend countless of hours and euro’s in the effort and most probably would not have got a tenth of the rental yields I currently enjoy. What can I say, I would highly recommend this Company to anyone looking to have Property Managed or rented out there in Southern Italy. I think they offer a whole range of other services too but I didn’t really require them myself, I would look into it though.

I have a property in Zambrone, in the Calabria region. I needed landscaping and maintenance for property but I have not good a good level of Italian or English. For this reason, it is difficult to arrange services or get things done by myself. Then i found, Apple Consulting online. They have Russian speakers, English Speakers & Italian Speakers. They deal with me efficiently and say YES, no problem to everything. I was surprised it so easy.

I found the ideal house I wanted as a holiday home in Italy through Windrush. And everytime, when I tell people the story of how that happen, they all thought it was oddly bizarre yet perfect. I was randomly dropping emails to a few property agents in Italy for a few months, and one day, a very keen agent from Calabria called me (spoke English!), telling me to come to Pizzo as I would fall in love with it. I have never considered buying in Pizzo or even heard of Pizzo before.
I told Neil Walker, if you can find me a house that fits this vision I had in my mind, then I will come. “I want to look out of my living room balcony, and I can see cobblestone street in the old Italian town. I want to be able to be able to wake up and have coffee on rooftop, enjoying the sunrise and the ocean. And I want to be able to walk down that cobblestone street, in my white dress, floppy straw hat & basket, buying fresh bread from the friendly Italian shopkeepers who would greet me by my name….and I can walk all the way from the main piazza, along the tiny alleys to the marina to enjoy the sunset and a cocktail”
Instead of thinking I was crazy, Neil told me to book my flight, he will meet me at the airport and all I need to do is just get ready to move in. He found me the house I described above – on my first visit, on my very first day in Pizzo.
My friends told me I could have gotten a better deal if I had dealt with the locals myself, but not knowing much Italian, I was glad I chose to engage Neil and Windrush to help me throughout the whole purchase process with banks, legal, architect and maintenance service. They have made the whole experience very convenient and reassuring for me. It was worth it – it gave me peace of mind as I had a hectic work schedule back in London. I love the house and I have enjoyed every single moment making it my home.
