Having decided to sell our home in Cape Town, South Africa and relocate to the warmer climates of Europe. We were drawn to Southern Italy due to warm sea’s fantastic food and wine and the friendly welcome from local Italians wherever we looked.
We first met one of Windrush Alliance’s (Apple Consulting sister company) representatives Richard at Lamezia Airport in 2009. His friendly manner and knowledge of the area was a great help to us in the early stages of our search for our dream home in Italy. We look back on that day now and smile, as we had told Richard we would not be an easy client as we had very specific expectations.
Through Windrush Alliance we eventually found our dream home. The search leading up to the purchase of our property took a period of 18 month which involved many trips to Italy from our home in England and over this period we viewed many properties. Richard & Paola always made us feel that finding our dream home would come true and when things didn’t work out on a particular property they simply never gave up giving us the help we required in our search.
On what turned out to be our final viewing trip over a long weekend which entailed viewing several properties we found our dream home! We are over the moon with our property and after a period of going through the planning permission, finding builders etc we have successfully renovated and moved in. Paola and Richard are always at hand and continue to look after our bills, helped us to open a bank account and give us advice and help whenever required. We cannot speak more highly of them, they are a very organized and professional company, nothing is too much trouble and we are very pleased to be able to say that we have become very good friends.
As promised to Paola we are now taking Italian lessons, it is not easy at our age but we do laugh at each other while we learn and find perseverance works and now when we visit Calabria we understand a lot more and are becoming confident in speaking in Italian.

Ich möchte gerne meine Erfahrung mit dem Kauf von Immobilien im Ausland teilen. Meine Frau und ich haben schon immer von einer Immobilie in Ausland geträumt, aber wir hatten auch Ängste. Denn ohne Sprachkenntnisse ist es immer schwierig. Unser Zielland war Italien. Wir haben immer wieder gerne in Italien( Kalabrien/ Süditalien) Urlaube verbracht und immer wieder Träume gehabt. Ich möchte sehr großen Dank an die Beraterin des Unternehmens Frau Ludmila Tanasiev aussprechen. Sie war für alle unsere Fragen offen und stand immer an unsere Seite „Tag und Nacht“. Ludmila spricht viele Sprachen unter anderem deutsch. Das war bei der Kaufabwicklung außerordentlich hilfreich. Ludmila hat uns mehrere Objekte vorgestellt bis wir genau das passende Objekt mit einem direkten Meerblick gefunden haben. Wir waren überwältigt! Alles hat gepasst! Die Lage und das Budget! Die erbrachte Beratung und die Erklärung der rechtlichen Nuancen waren vom ersten Tag an sehr kompetent und professionell. Die weitere Unterstützung der Transaktion beim Kauf und die Vermittlung von unserem neu erworbenen Apartment wurden ebenfalls mit Hilfe von Richard Hazel und Ludmila Tanasiev durchgeführt. Von Anfang bis zum Ende ist alles super verlaufen. Wir sind mittlerweile seit fünf Jahren stolze Eigentümer von einem sehr schönen Appartement in Kalabrien. Efter att ha besökt Kalabrien och Pizzo för ett antal år sedan har tankarna funnits kring möjligheten att köpa en lägenhet i denna vackra och genuina del av Italien. Vi fick tidigt kontakt med Birute Bilinske från Apple Consulting på en mässa i Stockholm och Birute har sedan dess svarat på hundratals frågor i mail. När vi åkte tillbaka till Pizzo för ett år sedan visade hon oss runt i regionen och vi tittade på olika typer av boenden. Det var en vacker aprildag med gelato i Zambrone och en underbar pranzo uppe i bergen med allt vad Italien kan frambringa vad gäller mat.
Valet föll på Borgonovo där vi även bott vid varje besök. Detta till stor del beroende på läget eftersom lägenheterna ligger så nära den gamla staden och har så vacker havsutsikt.
Under köpeprocessen, som skiljer sig en hel del från den svenska, har vi hela tiden fått mycket bra hjälp och snabba svar av Apple Consulting. Så ett stort tack även till Richard Hazel och Paola Piccione.
